What a week... even my cynical mind couldn't have anticipated the idiotic escapades of General McChrystal and his Looney Tunes staff. Now don't get me wrong, I mean no disrespect to any person serving the the United States military. These people put their lives on the line every single day doing what they can in the service of defending our freedom. I am grateful to them. I go out of my way to thank every single soldier I come in contact with. But these guys insulted the civilian control of the military and that scared the wits out of me. It really did.
So I was glad that President Obama relieved him. I'm hoping his senior staff are on their way home to retirement as well. And it made me think about what life must be like for Barack Obama... the man. Can you imagine? All the other things going on everyday and one night your press secretary comes to the residence and presents you with a mess like the article in Rolling Stone.
So when I saw this picture with this caption this week it made me think about him and what he must deal with and feel every single day. I know some of you out there detest him. Some of you support him even when he's wrong. Mostly I just pray for him and for all the other leaders of the nations of the world and I expect the best of them. Because there are millions out there wishing them ill, finding fault, second guessing, swearing at them no matter what they do.
But just once... wouldn't you like to hear a President... any president, say, "Sit ya ass down. I'm tryin' to fix this shit!"
